Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is an Indian-born British American musician and sitarist, is most well-known for her music. She was first of her generation to receive an award from the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka shankar is one of India's rising stars in the sitar. She is a student and daughter to Ravi Shankar. She was born London in 1982. During during her early years, she swam between London New Delhi. When she was only 13 the first time she performed in New Delhi took place. Later she moved into Encinitas CA where she graduated from High School with honours in 1999. Anouskha is still pursuing a successful career in recording and performing even though she's only a teenager. Since quite some time, she regularly performs with her father. The year 1998 saw her debuted Anourag as her debut album as a solo artist. The album was titled Live at Carnegie Hall, a Grammy-nominated album a year following. She's performed in all famous venues throughout the world. Anoushka Shankar's work isn't limited to music.
