Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor from America. She is most famous for her role as Skyler in the AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and she was the recipient of the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress for Drama Series 2013 & 2014. Her other roles are Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and was awed by acting while attending Preparatory School. The late 70's, she and her family moved to Ohio. She studied theatre at Northwestern University, and spent one term at British American Drama Academy. Anna started out in Chicago, working in theatre roles for many years. After that, she relocated to Hollywood where she started acting in movies and television shows. Anna got her first major role as Arden when Down the Shore aired 29 episodes in 1992. In addition, she appeared in Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue. In fact, it was only in the latter part of 1990 when she landed the role of The Practice. Martha Bullock played two full seasons on Deadwood that was shot in the mid 2000's. Skyler was in Breaking Bad (2008). In addition, she was a part of the Deadwood film and Sully. Gunn was also on the stage in a David Schwimmer-directed production of Sex With Strangers. Gunn acted as Numbered Days, a four-part audio show that premiered set in 2022. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's relationship with Skyler. Walter White's life story as well as the stress on his relationship with Skyler is mirrored in the television show.
